My 1st day in SG

I woke up at 10AM and set myself to go to my uncle's agency around 10:30AM. My 2nd degree cousin Leilani went with us since we don't know how to go there. When we finally arrived there, we met our handsome Uncle Nono who is the younger brother of Tito Noel. He helped us changed our peso money to sing dollar only to find out that the equivalent is really small. He also helped us in printing our resume so we were able to submit a resume to my uncle's agency, we are set to take the exam tomorrow and pay S$28.00. After the short orientation, we went to get ezlink cards for our ride and we had a hard time finding our way to the subway. We went around Lucky Plaza only to find out that the subway is on the other building. It was then easy going back our way home. When we reached home, we went for a dip in the pool at my uncle's place. We did some exercise in the water, since of course trimming down is one of the objectives in our stay in Singapore. We were amazed on the sunrise-sunset event here in SG. Sun rises at around 7AM and sets around 7PM. We ate dinner at 10PM and 12MN still seems like 9PM in the Phils.

The trip back to Singapore

We took the bus to the airport since there were no taxis available and it was already 1pm, my flight is at 4:40PM but of course I need to line up for the travel fees and the check0in counters. I was able to sleep in the bus only to find out that it was already 2PM and we were still in Makati and it was raining cats and dogs. I felt nervous, I felt something is gonna go wrong. I had to control my thoughts considering I will be facing the immigration officers and be questioned of a month long stay in Singapore. Kent was always very supportive and kept on telling me that everything will turn out fine. We dropped off Mall of Asia and took the taxi there off to the NAIA terminal 3. When we arrived there the departure was around 40% full. When I lined up for ticket printing I was hearing other customer's concern on re-booking their flights because of flights cancelled. It made me nervous again, what if my flight is one of those flights cancelled but good thing it didn't so I was back to the calm mode again. After i paid for my travel tax, I checked in my baggage of 18.2 kg which I thought I was already in excess but was not. Then Kent told me to go, thinking I was still 30 minutes early for the departure. He waited until I text him that we are taking off.

The next thing he knew, I was waiting in line to speak with the Immigration supervisor because of the 30 month long stay in Singapore. I had to tell the immigration supervisor straight to the point that I'm going on leisure because I can't tell him that I am off for job hunting. They are very strict by the way because of the human trafficking going on. But I didn't dress up as if I'm going to Singapore to be a prostitute or so.hehehe Good thing the supervisor granted me to take the plane and it was the 1st time that I was paged on the airport. I think I was the last passenger that they were waiting for to take off. Finally on the plane, I just slept it over with. When I arrived at the Changi Airport, I got nervous again thinking I will be questioned again. Good thing the lady immigration officer was just friendly and gave the pass of social visit grant for a month.

It took me almost an hour to wait for my sister and uncle to fetch me, only to find out that my uncle has forgotten all about my arrival. Because of being in a hurry, he just parked his car outside the arrival area where it was not allowed and run off to look for me, so when he found me we were running as fast as we could as well so that he will not be charge for a ticket of S$200. It was a long ride to his condominium here in Ceylon Road. I was amazed with how he was able to set up his place. Will be posting pictures shortly.

The day before I left PINAS!

I am done packing my things for my second time visit to Singapore. I was there in 2006. I had short hair and was quite sexy back then. Now I am obese for my height and my age. But I don't worry too much, yet I still intended to be able to trim down in my stay here. Considering all the walking for the job hunting. I am really into it. I am excited at the same time sad that I have to leave Kent in Manila and Ira in CDO. I do pray that I will be able to get a job the soonest possible so I can be able to save money and maybe invite them to come and visit me here.

Today I spent my whole day with Kent going around Metro Manila, we went to HSBC to process my clearance considering that the effective date of my resignation was yesterday. We went to CBPS in Makati as well to get my COE that I will be needing the most in my job hunting in Singapore. After the important matters, we went strolling in the Greenbelt, Glorietta and took the MRT to Trinoma and SM North. Quite a relaxing just walking and not minding the time how it flies so fast....and tomorrow I am off to Singapore!

Balik-Manila

I, together with my sister Mommy Dharlz, left CDO at 10:45AM today via Airphil Express to Manila. It was quite a rush since we had to visit our late grandparents at Oro Gardens since its All Soul's Day tomorrow and we dont have the chance anymore. Photos on our visit will be posted next time. On Novermber 3rd will be another exciting experience since I will be going back to Singapore. For a tour? I wish! But ofcourse it will be included on the list of the reasons to go back there but it will be the primary reason when being interviewed by the immigration officers..hehehe But personally, job hunting is the top priority. Well, photos will be posted  soon...till next blog!
